This Lenten season is full of metaphor, imagery, and stories, all of which draw us to the compelling life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Beginning at Ash Wednesday and lasting forty days until Easter morning, Lent is a time for reflection, discernment, growth, and renewal. Whether you grew up eating fish sandwiches or you’ve never observed Lent, you’re invited to this fruitful time in community and connection.

Palm Sunday Worship

10:30 A.M. | SANCTUARY

Palm Sunday is the entryway to Holy Week, the seven days that precede Easter Sunday and the Resurrection of the Lord. This day remembers Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem for Passover, when crowds shouted praises, wanting to crown him as king. But just as the Gospel writes knew, the “triumphal entry” of Jesus was unsettling, too, as the day foreshadows the same crowd’s cries to crucify and humiliate Christ.

On this Palm Sunday, we’ll enjoy special festivities that focus on the adoration of Christ and that ground us for the week ahead. The children and youth choir will sing in worship, and a special Lenten gathering will be held in the Fellowship Hall after worship.

After worship on Palm Sunday, all ages are invited to a time for fellowship and crafts.

Maundy Thursday

7:00 P.M. | SANCTUARY

As we mark Jesus’ last supper with his disciples, we will gather for a Communion service in the sanctuary. This service will begin at 7 p.m. and last roughly an hour.
