Employment Opportunity: Worship Technical Director

Position Overview

The Worship Technical Director will be responsible for all aspects of the livestream production, including managing sound both live and on stream, as well as maintaining the technical platforms used for production (Telestream Wirecast, Behringer X series sound equipment).

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in technical operations in a church, theatrical or similar environment.

This is a part time, salaried position. It could require up to 8 hours per week, although most weeks will be less than that.

Regular hours are Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon (8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in summer). Other services, as required (especially in December and around Easter).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and secure sound, lighting, and live stream platform for worship. Equipment provided by church.
  • Operate and produce worship service each week.
  • Coordinate with the church’s Communications and Operations Manager on social media matters.
  • Meet with the pastor and other staff as required to plan for regular and special worship events.

Experience:

  • Church or theatrical video and audio production: 2 years (Preferred)

Position Details

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Hours per week: 3-8
  • Compensation: $19,000-$20,000 per year
  • Schedule: Weekends; evenings as needed
  • Location: On site and in person
