The Catonsville Presbyterian Church Columbarium is a reality! Construction has been completed, and the Columbarium and Sacred Space Garden are now gracing the lawn area across from the handicap ramps along Beechwood Ave. And we will dedicate the Columbarium after worship this Sunday, October 31, 2021.
The Columbarium provides 80 double niches for the cremated remains of CPC members and their extended families, and niches will be offered for sale soon. This area features attractive landscaping, and will soon have benches and lighting.
The Sacred Space Garden is located in front of the Columbarium, across from the handicap ramp (see photo below). To honor loved ones and remember those who are no longer with us, the congregation is invited once again to participate in this Sacred Space Garden by purchasing engraved pavers.
The pavers are 8 by 8-inch gray concrete that can be engraved with up to 6 lines of writing (20 characters per line counting spaces). The actual writing on the pavers should reflect the grace and dignity of the Sacred Space Garden.
Pavers will be available for the next order placed by November 15. After November 15, and in the coming months/years, additional engraved pavers may be ordered and added to the Sacred Space Garden. We will need orders of 5 or more pavers at a time to place an order with free shipping. It will also necessitate removing plain pavers and inserting the engraved ones, which will be done for you by CPC. If you now know you want to order a paver, please order by November 15 so it may be included in our next order from the supplier.
The cost for a paver, with engraving and shipping, is $125. To order a paver, go to the CPC website, catonsvillepres.org. and choose “How We Serve” and “Columbarium and Sacred Garden”, then click the link titled “Sacred Space Garden Paver Order Form” to download the Paver Order Form. Then fill it out with your order, and mail or bring it to the church office with a check (memo: “CPC Paver”) for $125 per paver. Note that your order form must include spacing, upper and lower case letters, and punctuation exactly as desired; this is the way your order will appear. For questions, email: email@example.com.
