The Christian Education Committee has been diligently meeting and working very hard this summer with the focus on our youth and families. While looking toward the fall, the conversation continues to be what we as a church can be and do for you, how we can keep you connected and supported, how we can help nurture your children to continue to grow in God’s love. We have been in prayer, in thought, in discernment for how best to serve you as leaders of our faith community as we head into the new school year. We are planning on coordinating a Zoom gathering for parents in September after you find a routine and feel like you can take a breath. Because of today’s stresses and anxieties imposed by the pandemic, our intention at this virtual meeting will be to listen carefully to what you and your needs are emotionally and spiritually. Before then, however, we would love to hear any of your thoughts, concerns, requests, information you have gleaned that would enhance our conversation. We rejoice in this challenge as it is pushing us to discover and delve into creative options we might not have other-wise considered. We continue to remain grateful that we are not alone in this even when we feel isolated or separated understanding that the Spirit remains our constant companion. Praise be to God!
