The Mission Committee thanks all who participated in our annual project for the Seafarers Center to provide a holiday gift to seafarers who come into ports. Most of these workers are away from their families for many months and it can be lonely, especially during the holidays. We also thank the volunteers who helped organize the items in December. All of us working together helped make this holiday more special for these recipients. Below is a thank you note from Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center.
Dear Catonsville Presbyterian c/o Lee and Sid,
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for 52 beautiful Christmas at Sea packages. 2020 has strained everyone’s resources and energy, and rest assured that I don’t take this generous donation for granted. 2020 has also been a very tough year for seafarers, as I’m sure Lee has shared with you all, and this will surely brighten a dark time for them. I also appreciate the photos!
Thanks and blessings,
The Rev. Mary Davisson, Director
Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center
