November Puerto Rico Work Trip

November 14, 2019

On November 11, our Catonsville Presbyterian Church Work Team of twenty-one members arrived at El Gauacio, a Presbyterian Disaster Assistance camp located 2.5 hours from San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico. The goal of the work trip was to help friends still recovering from Hurricane Maria in San Sebastian. After arriving the group reported that the roads were treacherous but they continued to make it through, and all in all, they felt blessed for the good weather and beautiful scenery. Once settled everyone got to work on painting roofs, hauling debris, and repairing homes.

Throughout the week of November 11-18, our Catonsville Presbyterian Church Work Team continued to stay busy working on repairs in Puerto Rico. Fortunately the group managed to have some fun in between all the hard work including enjoying a local band, attending a beautiful service, watching the sunrise, praying on the hill, making new friends and leaving their imprint.
