Support Our Ministries
First of all, thanks to all of you who have continued to faithfully send in gifts and pledges, and have taken advantage of our secure online giving. Your stewardship is very much appreciated.
If you are in a position to give, our needs continue with payroll, utility, maintenance, and other ministry expenses. Our budget relies on consistent giving from members and friends of CPC. On a positive note, we have received online gifts from a number of folks who have been able to join our online worship community and a number of bequests from members’ wills, which have provided additional reserves. So please be comforted that CPC will continue to be here for you, for our community, and for the world.
Our individual approach to giving in times such as these is complex. If your income has been impacted by the current economic disruption, and you need to delay or avoid giving to CPC, you are still welcome. If you are in a position to continue and maybe even give more, please consider doing so. And if your pledge is weighing on you, you can contact us if you need to adjust.
Finally, remember that what we do with our resources of time, talent, and money is important to our sense of self. Giving in a time such as this can provide us with a feeling of positive action in the face of disempowerment. And it can channel the creative energy that flows through us from the Creator. So, in a virtual sense, “Come in your faith, Come in your doubt.” And if you can, continue to share with the CPC community through all your gifts.
One Great Hour of Sharing
The three programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing—Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People—all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.
