As the Lenten season continues, you are invited to drop in and experience Contemplative Prayer/Medita- tion at CPC Monday evenings at 6 p.m. There are no reading assignments. Just come and be open to what takes place in the 40-minute practice. Psychologist Josh Semiatin guides the participants through focused exercises on the breath, on polishing awareness of the present moment, and on the gentle, non judgmental handling of emerging thoughts. The group concludes with a practice of loving kindness in which each person directs compassionate thoughts to oneself and to other beings, loved ones, strangers, enemies and humanity.
