Meditate — Every Monday In Lent

Come meditate in Lent. On the following Mondays at 6 p.m. in the France Room, the Contemplative Prayer group will offer 50-minute+ meditation sessions: March 11, 18, & 25;
April 1, April 8.

Join us for just one Monday or come more often. We have been called by our pastors to find out what we are thirsting for and to go deeper into our faith life. The spiritual practice of meditation is one of the ways in which we can seek a deeper relationship with God and cultivate a heart of
loving kindness. Members of the Contemplative Prayer group will offer these sessions during Lent – directed either by a trained meditation leader or through recorded, directed instruction. All are welcome – the inexperienced and the experienced, the focused and the distracted, those who are curious and those who already know the benefits. Come and find the calm. Doors to the Frederick Road entrance will be unlocked at 6 p.m. Come and meditate on Mondays.

-Barbara Rice and Brenda Logue

Explore and deepen your practice of silent, open awareness and meditation to discern a deeper connection with God. The group is facilitated by an experienced leader and offers a supportive environment for practitioners, whether new to the practice or new to the group. The contemplative prayer group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in the France Room, most easily accessed from the small parking lot on Frederick Road.
