Advent Candlelight Vesper Service
- Date: Sunday, December 13, 2020
- Time: 6:00pmβ6:20pm
- Location: Tower Door/Ramp Entrance
We had originally planned to host an Advent Candlelight Vespers service on the church lawn followed by a walk-thru of the sanctuary to see everything decorated for Christmas. We know there is a deep desire to be back be back in the sanctuary, especially at this time of year, if only for a minute. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 numbers rising in Maryland and the governor’s recent guidelines limiting outdoor gatherings to 25, we have had to change plans.
Instead of one service we’re going to offer three, twenty-minute services on December 13 at 6 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., on the lawn on Beechwood Ave (along the ramp and tower porch/steps). Each service will be limited to twenty-five individuals and reservations are required. These services will consist of readings, prayer, and holiday music provided by a brass quintet.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to open the sanctuary for the walk-thru, but the Beechwood doors will be open for you to look in.
Check your email for the link to reserve your space.
If your plans change and you’re not able to attend please be sure to cancel your reservation to make space for someone else who would like to attend.
Please note:
- You may bring chairs if you need them, but we envision this will be a standing-event.
- Safety protocols will be followed.
- Face masks will be required.
- The buildings, including restrooms, will not be accessible.
