Radical Acceptance: What it is, what it isn’t, and how to practice it in a Spirit-enhancing way

We welcome Tyler Howard, the new Clinical Director at Suburban Crossroads Counseling. Radical acceptance is not agreement, endorsement, celebration, or passivity. Instead, it is being honest with ourselves and committing to action that honors our values (while making peace with what cannot be changed). We will correct misconceptions about acceptance and look to the Bible for ways radical acceptance is portrayed. We will discuss how we can practice it in life in the 21st century. For nearly fifty years, Suburban Crossroads Counseling (with offices in the CPC Church House) has provided mental health counseling and psychotherapy in Baltimore. All their counselors and social workers are licensed by the state of Maryland. Some also have additional experience in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy for individuals interested in such services.
