Adult Education: Those Mysterious Mystics
- Date: Sunday, September 22, 2019
- Time: 9:00am–10:00am
- Location: Library
The Roman Catholic theologian Karl Rahner (1904-1984) predicted, “In the days ahead, you will either be a mystic (one who has experienced God for real) or nothing at all.” What exactly is a mystic? What is mysticism? Questions that many Protestants tend to shy away from. This Sunday we’ll feature some of the key writers in the Christian mystical tradition (Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant) who have taught us much about life in the Spirit. We’ll provide resources and suggest ways to help you nourish your spiritual growth. Led by Ken Kovacs.
A time of learning and lively discussion, led by our pastoral staff, guest speakers, and members of the congregation. Join us as we explore a range of diverse topics and issues of the day from a theological perspective. Child care is provided.
